To schedule a spay/neuter, call the spay/neuter hotline at 336-296-9191.  Leave voicemail and your call will be returned by a designated scheduler.

Vaccinations are discounted at the time of surgery. These prices are only offered at the time of spay/neuter surgery. This is our way of thanking you for spaying or neutering your pet! We strongly urge these vaccinations. If you have no proof of a rabies vaccination on admission, your pet will receive one at an additional charge of $12.  Some vaccines require boosters in 3-4 weeks, appointment required and exam fee will also be applied at time of booster.

Testing at Surgery

Feline Leukemia/Feline Immunodeficiency Virus/Heartworm testing (FeLV/FIV/HW, or the “triple test”) is discounted to $30 from $45 at the time of spay/neuter surgery. We strongly urge this test for cats.

To learn more about why FeLV/FIV testing (“combo testing”) for cats is so important, see the Cornell University of Veterinary Medicine.

POST-OPERATIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT AND LASER THERAPY

Sheets Pet Clinic is pleased to offer laser therapy as an additional means of post-operative pain control. Laser therapy is noninvasive and uses wavelengths of light to speed up metabolism at the cellular level. This reduces inflammation and pain at the incision and accelerates the healing process.

Providing post-operative pain management is now the standard of care in veterinary medicine. We know that animals have the same type of nervous system we do and feel pain from surgery just as we do. Studies have shown that unmanaged pain actually slows the healing process.

All animals having surgery at Sheets Pet Clinic will receive pain management post-operatively. Cats will receive an injection on a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication post-operatively or, at the surgeon’s discretion, an oral post-operative pain medication. Dogs will  receive an oral post-operative pain medication to go home.

Both dogs and cats will receive laser treatment immediately post-op.
